Fair play he took this well.
Stormzy is currently riding a crest of a wave. His debut album, ‘Gang Signs and Prayer’, is earned rave reviews and plaudits around the world, whilst his appearance at the Brits with Ed Sheeran introduced him to a whole new demographic (namely anyone who has been living under a rock in recent years…)
He is fast becoming one of the most recognisable faces in British music and being a guest on something as mainstream as this weekend’s Sunday Brunch was testament to that. But it is a famous face that the grime don shares with another celebrity icon of British culture – that of a similarly talented young man.
Stormzy, given name Michael Omari, is often compared with Everton striker Romelu Lukaku. It is a likeness that regularly comes up whenever either one is starring on our television screens…

Lukaku is quiet and again and Stormzy is back releasing fire 🤔 https://t.co/CarZPWoyyS

Whilst on the Brunch, Stormzy was asked about the likeness, and even he had to admit that it was uncanny:
“Aaaah! Lukaku! Romelu Lukaku! Do you know what’s so mad, yeah? I’m not gonna lie – every time I see him I just look at him and think: ‘Yeah you dooo mate!’ We just look the same…”
Fair play to both of them – there’s certainly worse looking and less talented people to be compared to…
