Yeah, people really do care about hair.
In the grand tradition of kick-ass female characters, Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) from Stranger Things incorporated various different aspects of some memorable heroines.
The world’s biggest fan of Eggo waffles was resourceful like Ripley (Alien), tough like Sarah Connor (Terminator) and gifted like Carrie (erm, Carrie).
With the news that Season 2 of the beloved Netflix series will be returning on Halloween, the teaser trailer instantly made us dwell on some of the questions that we were left unanswered following last year’s cliffhanger.
While Eleven’s current whereabouts remains mysterious, we have a feeling that Hopper might be able to shed some light on the location of our favourite psychokinetic.
Where exactly did she go after killing  the Demogorgon? Our own theory? She went to the hairdresser.
Why? Well Entertainment Weekly gathered the cast for a brief chat ahead of the new season and after seeing this snap, the lives of some fans were sent into The Upside Down.
Yes, that’s right. Eleven is back and she’s got a curly barnet.

Given the massive cult-adulation that this show receives, we weren’t surprised to see that the Twitterverse were very willing to discuss her new look and locks.
Curious to know the conversations that led the #StrangerThings producers to decide Eleven has curly hair when Millie Bobby Brown doesn't pic.twitter.com/ar3iiwVepz

Some people think that this new style is an homage to one of the most iconic female characters of all time, Ripley.
The first season of Stranger Things did borrow heavily from certain films, so we’re not ruling this one out.
If you’re going to imitate a character, opt for the best one.
???? Personally I think Eleven's new hair is largely inspired from Ellen Ripley in Aliens, the sequel that outdid the first. pic.twitter.com/gWW8i8FBgO

Eleven could have literally had any hair style in Season 2 of Stranger Things, so naturally she must have Ripley's. pic.twitter.com/6hIXD9vkBp
