The rights to Daredevil are set to return to Marvel Studios this month

Wil Jones

Could we see him back in the MCU soon?

The screen rights for Daredevil are set to return to Marvel Studios at the end of November, and fans are getting very excited.

Netflix produced three seasons of Daredevil as part of their series of Marvel shows, as well as him appearing in the team-up show The Defenders.

Daredevil was cancelled in November 2018, but contractually Marvel Studios were not allowed to use the character for two years. Which means at the end of the of this month, he is free to appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe again.

This news has got Marvel fans very excited about the possibilities, with many wanting to see him team up with Spider-Man.

Fans also really want to see the other Netflix characters, including Jessica Jones, The Punisher, and Wilson Fisk, come back.

Strangely, no one was calling for Iron First to come back though. Wonder why?

Netflix’s series of Marvel shows ran from 2015 to 2019, and included Daredevil, The Punisher, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and The Defenders. They were set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and frequently crossed over with each other, but were never referred to in the films.

Marvel has several options on how they could bring the characters back. The option that many fans would like is just to see the shows continue where they left off, most likely on Disney+. Or they could introduce Daredevil, Jessica Jones and the rest into the movies, played by the same actors.

Alternatively, they may choose to ignore the Netflix continuity altogether and just cast all-new versions.
