The Married At First Sight contestant’s behaviour was described by E4 as “unacceptable”
Married At First Sight contestant Nikita Jasmine has been booted off the show after displaying “unacceptable” aggression when a situation “escalated off camera”.
A statement from the show reads: “The wellbeing of cast and crew is our utmost priority at all times throughout production and beyond.
“During filming, a situation escalated off camera and Nikita displayed a level of aggression that was unacceptable and breached our agreed code of conduct on behaviour.”
The spokesperson added that, as a result of the incident, Nikita, was asked to leave.
“All involved have been offered support and Nikita has since apologised and resolved the situation with those involved.”
According to the Mail Online, Nikita “just lost it and screamed at everyone around the table” while filming a dinner party with her fellow contestants.
A source said: “It was over an argument she started, ranting her co-stars were only doing the show for fame – when most of them felt that’s exactly why she had signed up. The situation turned really ugly, which was why security had to get involved.
“Bosses were left with no choice but to remove her from the show.”
Nikita’s departure will be aired on Thursday’s episode.
She had already launched a furious tirade against her husband, Ant, as they fought on their honeymoon. In one scene, she threw a cup at Ant after he told his new bride that her constant fishing for compliments didn’t feel like banter.
The 26-year-old Geordie had demanded her ‘husband’ have veneers, a tan, and muscles, something that she clearly felt that Ant lacked.
Remarkably, this isn’t the biggest story from the Married At First Sight world this week. No, that prestigious title goes to this fella, who got very excited when he saw the woman he thought was his soon-to-be-wife walking down the aisle, only to be told she was in fact one of the bridesmaids.
