“2010 called and it wants its lazy, deeply sexist joke back”
Taylor Swift has criticised a new Netflix show after it made a joke about her past relationships.
American comedy-drama Ginny & Georgia launched last week, and has already come under fire from the singer and her fans for a disparaging line about Swift.
In the final episode of the season, Ginny (Antonia Gentry) and Georgia (Brianne Howey) are arguing, when Georgia asks if Ginny about her current boyfriend – to which Ginny replies: “What do you care? You go through men faster than Taylor Swift.”
Swift tweeted about the joke on Monday, calling it “lazy [and] deeply sexist”.

“Hey Ginny & Georgia, 2010 called and it wants its lazy, deeply sexist joke back. How about we stop degrading hard working women by defining this horse shit as FuNnY,” she tweeted.
“Also, @netflix after Miss Americana this outfit doesn’t look cute on you,” she continued, in reference to the documentary about Taylor Swift that is available exclusively on the streaming service.
“Happy Women’s History Month I guess.”
Ginny & Georgia previously came under fire for a scene where two characters discuss discrimination, with one of them suggesting they play a game of “oppression olympics”.
