Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is many things. Wrestler. Actor. Businessman. Gameshow host. Tequila magnate.
And now he is going to be the inspiration for a sitcom.
According to the man himself, Young Rock is a “series based on my wild and unpredictable childhood and formative years growing up.”
The Rock revealed the cast for the show on his Instagram, and it looks like it is going to feature three ages of Rock – him at 10-years-old, 15-years-old and 20-years-old.
Hopefully, if Young Rock is a hit, we can get fanny pack Rock in season two.

10-year-old Dwayne ‘Dewey’ Johnson will be played by Adrian Groulx, 15-year-old Rock by Bradley Constant, and 20-year-old Rock by Uli Latukefu.
Dwayne also revealed the actors who would portray his mother, father and grandmother.

The Rock was born into a wrestling dynasty, so expect the graps to play pretty heavily into the show.
His late father, Rocky Johnson was a wrestling pioneer and one-half of the first-ever black WWE tag team champions with Tony Atlas.
The Rock actually played his father on television once, back in 1999, on an episode of That 70s Show.
Rocky Johnson passed away earlier this year.
Dwayne Johnson’s maternal grandmother Lia Mavia was also an important figure in the wrestling business, being one of the first female promoters, taking over the Polynesian Pro Wrestling territory of the National Wrestling Alliance in Hawaii, following the death of her husband, “High Chief” Peter Maivia.
“This show is gonna be a fun one and can’t wait for you guys to watch!” continues Johnson in his Instagram posts.
“This passion project is special and I’m boundless grateful to EVERYONE who is lending their talents, passion, love and mana to bring it to life.”
Young Rock will be an 11 episode series on NBC, co-produced by Universal Television, Johnson’s Seven Bucks Productions, and Fierce Baby Productions.
