Venom is about to be unleashed. We can’t wait!
Tom Hardy fans are more accustomed to seeing the talented actor’s face being hidden behind masks but in his next major role, the star of Dunkirk and The Dark Knight Rises is going to undertake a very different transformation.
In Venom, one of Marvel’s most enigmatic, complex and badass characters comes to the big screen in a standalone adventure – let’s just forget Spider-Man 3 – and after the first trailer was released, plenty of people were asking the same question, why is there no footage of Eddie Brock transforming into the alien Symbiote?
In fact, Hardy even took to Instagram to assure fans that the vicious, rampaging and badass sentient alien Symbiote will feature in the film.
With a release date of October 5th, we’re expecting plenty more trailers and promo material to land but the first image of Venom appears to have been revealed.

As reported by Venom fansite Amalgamated Symbiosis, the product listing for the company’s new Dark Cherry Limeade flavour includes promotional artwork for Venom, one that features the symbiote every Spider-Man fan knows so well.
Again, nothing official has been announced just yet but this looks like the real deal.
Not much is know about the plot, but it looks set to mirror the popular Lethal Protector storyline from the comics. In that comic-book, Venom goes up against the Life Foundation, a group that pushes the Venom symbiote to spawn several more variations.
Once bonded with the symbiotes they become Agony, Phage, Scream, Riot, and Lasher, as hell breaks loose. Peter Parker has been confirmed for a minor role – not as Spider-Man though -and over the last few days, various rumours have said that Woody Harrelson will be playing Carnage.
The film also stars Riz Ahmed, Michelle Williams, Jenny Slate, Reid Scott, and Scott Haze.
Venom hits theaters on October 5. We can’t wait!
