It’s back! No spoilers but fans are going to love this.
Despite the unfortunate cancellations on his upcoming tour, Peter Kay fans will take some comfort in knowing that they’re finally going to get some closure on the story of John and Kayleigh (Sian Gibson). As reported previously, Car Share is set to return in May but some lucky viewers got a sneak preview of what’s in store during a recent screening for charity.
Despite being immensely popular at the time of its release, viewers were left slightly disappointed by the Car Share finale because they desperately wanted to see what happens between Kay’s character John and Kayleigh.
Well, the wait is nearly over as the Bafta-winning show looks set to return.
A matinee charity screening of the BAFTA award-winning #CarShare added at Blackpool Opera House due to exceptional demand. Tickets for the screening this Saturday at 3:30pm prompt in aid of The Lily Foundation now on salehttps://t.co/qmXH5QrtJehttps://t.co/0WkRWzEeij

As an extra bonus, the 3,000 people in attendance were treated to an entirely improvised episode of the show but there’s one thing that everyone came to see, the new episode.
The comedian even made a brief appearance on stage and said: “Thank you very much for supporting the Lily Foundation raising money for mitochondrial disease. Very kind of you. I appreciate it. Enjoy the last ever episode of Car Share. Don’t tell anyone the end. Or tell anyone about any hedgehogs.”
In their spoiler-free review of the latest Car Share installment, the BBC Â said that “It takes place the day after the final episode of the second series. It’s poignant and it’s very, very funny.”
These people in attendance definitely agree.
