The Oscars diversity row remains as a subject of debate in the industry due to no non-white nominees for the second year running.
But the academy have presented a distinctly diverse line-up when it comes to presenters and performers.
Well done them…
Alongside host Chris Rock, Whoopi Goldberg, Tina Fey, Kevin Hart, Pharrell Williams, Charlize Theron, Benicio Del Toro and The Weeknd will also take to the stage during the ceremony.
Whoopi has spoken openly about her views surrounding the Oscars debate, admitting during a recent episode of her show ‘The View’ that she won’t be joining in the boycott.
She said: “It’s not that the problem is that the people who are nominated are too white.
They’re not looking at a movie and saying, ‘Oh, that’s very white. I’m not going to nominate that black movie. They’re not sitting there like that!
“What the problem is, the people who can be helping to make movies that have blacks and Latinos and women and all that – that movie doesn’t come to you. Because the idea is that there’s no place for black movies.”
