If past experiences have taught us anything, we should all know by now that the days leading up to a new FIFA game are often full of wildly inaccurate player rating rumours.
With that in mind, cast your eyes over this, which appears to be the first (it’s probably not the first, is it?) of many ‘leaked’ player ratings we’ll be seeing in the days ahead.
Manchester United, fresh from tying up a new partnership deal with FIFA 17 makers EASports last week, are featured in this image which has been doing the rounds on Twitter on Tuesday.
Jose Mourinho appears to have greatly improved United since arriving this summer, signing the likes of Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan over the course of the last few weeks.
Better in real life, better on FIFA. But should they be *this* much better? Some have suggested these figures aren’t right, pointing out that Ibrahimovic has an overall rating of 90, higher than last year’s rating of 89 *despite* his creaking 34-year-old joints being subjected to another year of elite level professional football playing in France.

Added to that, there’s Bastian Schweinsteiger, who’s managed to preserve his rating of 86 despite hardly kicking a ball for United in the last six months and training with their U21 side. Luke Shaw, having only just made his comeback from his broken leg, has also shot up from 77 to 80.
Some are calling bullshit.
#FIFA17 is the image of the United team ratings that apparently have been leaked real? IMO that's bull

Although we’re not convinced yet, we’re happy to wait for September 29 to see if they’re right instead of bickering about it on Twitter. Time will tell.
