This audience member’s cheeky thumb trick stole the show on Question Time

No respect for Dimbleby whatsoever.

Question Time isn’t exactly the most high-tempo of TV shows.

If you’re looking to have a bit of a rowdy Thursday night, you’d probably be better off going down the pub for a lime and soda or pairing your socks.

It’s probably why they seem to book Nigel Farage every other week, just so they can get people tweeting angrily about the idiot with the toad face who won’t stop screaming about blue passports.

There was no Farage on this week’s Question Time, so a sneaky audience member managed to take advantage and steal the show for himself – without his face even getting on camera.

Yep, this bloke managed to be the highlight of the show using just his thumb, and the BBC Question Time account picked up on his little trick.

And of course, with it being politics and Twitter, it didn’t take long for what was meant as a bit of light relief to turn into a full-blown argument.

Precisely one tweet, to be exact.

Like clockwork.
