So you’ve made your way through Stranger Things and now you want to keep on going with more adventures of the Upside/Down.
While we will have to wait for another series of Stranger Things, Netflix have some great alternatives to keep your intrigue in aliens and the other world very much alive.
You can continue that eighties feel with shows like Explorers and Big Trouble In Little China.
Explorers stars a young Ethan Hawke alongside River Phoenix, two friends who are dreaming of space travel and create an interplanetary spacecraft in a homemade laboratory.
Big Trouble in Little China,on the other hand, is about an ancient magician who kidnaps a man’s fiancée. He must navigate a shadowy realm to capture the culprit. It stars Kim Cattrall, Kurt Russell and Dennis Dun.
If you want something even more out there, you can boldly go where no man or woman has gone before and continue to explore the unknown world with Star Trek. Lucky for us all 727 episodes of the classic intergalactic show are available on Netflix, ahead of the brand new series.
This includes Star Trek: The Original Series, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager and Star Trek: Enterprise.
On top of all that, the 2013 blockbuster film, Star Trek Into Darkness is also available.
If, like me, you might have hidden behind a cushion or your hands every time the Stranger Things monster came lurking through the wall. It’s time we toughen up and what better way than with an alien fix in Alien Autopsy or Cowboys & Aliens?
Alien Autopsy is a documentary that presents gruesome footage of military doctors conducting an alien autopsy in 1947, which was exposed as a hoax after the show aired.
Cowboys & Aliens is a genre-busting tale about amnesiac gunslinger Jake Lonergan who stumbles into the Wild West town of Absolution, where he’s confronted by terrifying aliens.
It stars Daniel Craig, Olivia Wilde and Harrison Ford.
That should bide you some time before Stranger Things comes back for a second series.
