We’re only a few days away from one of the year’s best films!
After seeing Rise of the Planet of the Apes, it’s highly unlikely that anyone would tell Caesar to “take your stinking paws off me, you damn dirty ape!” Such is the brilliance of the new Planet of the Apes trilogy, it’s incredibly difficult to empathise with any of the humans.
Granted, Will (James Franco) and Malcolm (Jason Clarke) wanted to love in peace with the apes, but the innate call to violence – in both men and simian – proved to difficult to maintain.
The new Planet of the Apes trilogy has really resonated with audiences around the globe because not only do they have breathtaking action – that battle between humans and apes on the Golden Gate Bridge and the Caesar vs Koba smackdown are stellar – but they’ve also got a level of intelligence that’s rarely seen in a summer blockbuster.
