The talk show host appeared as a guest on Good Morning Britain
Trisha Goddard has received praise for a “one sentence annihilation” of Piers Morgan on Good Morning Britain.
The 63-year-old was brought on to discuss Meghan and Harry’s interview with Oprah Winfrey, which aired last night on CBS in the United States. In the UK, it is due to be screened tonight on ITV.
In the interview with Oprah, Meghan and Harry made a number of startling admissions.
The pair alleged that members of the royal family had “concerns and conversations about how dark his [their son Archie’s] skin might be”.
Oprah was left visibly stunned, and while Meghan said concerns were relayed to Harry, they declined to name the family member because of how “damaging” the claim is.
‘The fact she’s portraying the Royal Family as a bunch of racists is the most incendiary charge I’ve seen in my career.’

Meghan said there have been several conversations with “family” on the topic.
The pair were asked by Oprah if these were “about how dark your baby is going to be?”
Meghan responded: “Potentially, and what that would mean or look like.”
“They were concerned that if he were too brown, that that would be a problem?” Oprah asked.
“I wasn’t able to follow up with why,” said Meghan, “but if that’s the assumption you’re making, I think that feels like a pretty safe one.”
Meghan also revealed that she’d battled with suicidal thoughts, although Good Morning Britain co-host Piers Morgan said he didn’t believe her.
Understandably, this drew criticism from co-host Susanna Reid. Morgan’s suspicion surrounding Meghan’s racism claims was also heavily criticised by a number of guests.
Speaking from her home in Connecticut, United States, talk show host Trisha Goddard put the boot into Morgan.
“Why is everybody else such an expert about racism against black people?” she asked.
Morgan said that speculating about the child’s ethnicity should not be deemed “automatically racist”, but Goddard did not agree.
“I’m sorry, Piers – you don’t get to call out what is and isn’t racism against black people.
“I’ll leave you to call out all the other stuff you want, but leave the racism stuff to us, eh?”
This shutdown of the outspoken Morgan was praised by many on social media.
