Dizzee Rascal is reminding the world of his grime roots.
Before he became a household name, the London-born rapper honed his skills as an MC on pirate radio, so he was well at home when he appeared on US radio station Sway In The Morning, known for their segment ‘5 fingers of Death’.
As well as discussing his place in the history of grime, of which he was fundamental, he showed off his rhyming aptitude to full affect.
Challenged to rap over five different instrumentals, including Future and Drake’s Where Ya At’, Dizzee killed it every time.
The first beat starts around 2mins 54 before he really finds his flow around 3.35 and again at 6 mins. Watch him below.
