It feels like even if Alfonso Ribeiro – who famously played Carlton in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air – was to turn in a multi-Oscar-award-winning performance tomorrow, the pinnacle and enduring legacy of his career would still be *that* dance.
‘The Carlton’ dance is a rush of ’90s nostalgia that genuinely never gets old, and now there is video evidence of the man himself teaching none other than Snoop Dogg his iconic routine.
The clip, which was posted to Instagram, sees Snoop and Alfonso doing the dance in a corridor. The teacher and his apprentice make for a pretty formidable duo, and as the rapper says himself: “You can teach an old dog a new trick if he’s willing to listen.”

This isn’t the first time Alfonso has showed off his legendary dance for the grateful public.
Here he is with Justin Timberlake, taking a break from the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am to do the Carlton…
He also gave the I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here camp a lesson during his appearance on the reality show…
And then there was the time he gatecrashed Will and Jaden Smith’s Graham Norton guest slot…
Long live the Carlton.
