Winter is coming
Fire and blood.
Granted, we’re only expecting one of these things to be prevalent when Sansa, Daenerys, and her two surviving dragons (sob) meet in the new episodes of Game of Thrones, but as we saw in Season 7, things are somewhat frayed between Jon and Sansa.
To begin with, the newly-appointed Lady of Winterfell didn’t agree with Jon’s decision to visit Dragonstone in a bid to make an alliance with the Mother of Dragons.
Aside from this, the King in the North also bent the knee to the same House which murdered their grandfather and generations ago, made The North give away its independence and swear loyalty to the Iron Throne after Aegon I Targaryen’s invasion of Westeros.
To many people in the North, Daenerys is still a villain and the latest foreign invader that can’t be trusted. Aside from this, with Jon absent from Winterfell for the majority of Season 7, perhaps Sansa discovered that she has a talent for ruling and won’t give up her status willingly?
On top of this, we’ve also got the bombshell of Jon’s true parentage to unravel.
Yep, things are going to be very interesting in The North and that’s ignoring the small matter of the Night King and his army that have just breached The Wall.
Well, Littlefinger tried to divide House Stark in Season 7 and look how that ended up, but relations might be a little bit icy (and fiery) between Sansa and Daenerys in the next season of Game of Thrones.
The latest trailer has given us a little taste of what’s to come.
April can’t come quickly enough.
Aside from this, we also got a look at some of the other shows that are on HBO’s slate including Watchmen, Euphoria, Big Little Lies, and more.
