We know and love him as Gandalf from Lord of the Rings, but you can’t typecast Sir Ian McKellan as that groovy old wizard (he was Magneto in X-Men too).
It turns out Sir Ian has a sensational gorilla impression in his repertoire.
He was regaling a story about working with the great apes on James Corden’s The Late Late show and suddenly went into full gorilla mode.
It had everyone in stitches and Corden’s face says it all.
If they’re doing a re-reboot of King Kong, you’re well in with a shout of the role, Sir Ian.
