This is superb.
With the teleprompter acting up, Jimmy Fallon’s opening segment at the Golden Globes had to be improvised and while some of his jokes landed, it wasn’t quite as good as what we’ve seen from previous hosts like Ricky Gervais.
Then again, Fallon would never be able to come close to matching Gervais’ no-bullshit style.
Aside from the winners, Emma Stone’s incredibly cringeworthy ‘kiss’ and Meryl Streep’s scathing attack on Donald Trump provided two of the most talked about moments, but what about the laughs?
Well, thank God for Steve Carell and Kristen Wiig.
