When they said ” Don’t Try This At Home”, they were also talking about the referees
WWE referee Tom Castor suffered a rather gruesome leg break during an NXT live event in Omaha, Nebraska on Thursday – but still managed to make the one-two-three count at the end of the match.
Wrestlers often suffer in-ring injuries – but it happening to the officials is much less common.
Castor was referring a match between Velveteen Dream and Tyler Breeze when the accident happened, though it is unclear what actually caused it to happen.
Fellow WWE referee Drake Wuertz confirmed the injury on Twitter.

Please say a prayer for my brother Tom Castor. He broke his leg in the line of duty tonight during the main event of NXT Omaha. When he was on the stretcher he squeezed my hand and proudly said “Drake I Love the Business”. We love you Tom!
Here is a video of Castor making the count – the first ref we see though is Wuertz, most likely rushed in to cover for him, but at the end, he reappears to confirm the pin.

Several other photos have popped up online from fans in attendance – the show was an untelevised event.

***WARNING*** This one is a bit graphic, in an Aaron Ramsey leg break kind of way.
Scary news out of #NXT live event.

NXT is WWE’s developmental brand, where graduates from their Performance Centre, and new recruits wrestle before moving up to Raw or Smackdown.
