Reigns returned to Monday Night Raw to confirm the news to fans
WWE star Roman Reigns returned to Monday Night Raw and announced that his cancer is in remission.
Four months after announcing the return of the leukaemia he had fought privately 11 years prior, Reigns took to the ring to tell the delighted fans the great news.
“When I made my announcement, I said I was going to swing for the fences. We did better than that, y’all. We didn’t just swing for the fences, man, we hit a home run,” Reigns said as fans chanted “WrestleMania”.
“I’m in remission, y’all.”

The 33-year-old was forced to relinquish his Universal Championship belt in October 2018 after announcing that he had been diagnosed with leukaemia, and had stepped away from WWE and public life while receiving treatment.

After making the announcement, there was a public farewell with fellow members of The Shield, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose, in which both each of them could be seen visibly devastated at the distressing news.

Thankfully, there were much happier scenes on Monday night, and Rollins was clearly delighted when discussing the news during a backstage interview.
“My brother is back. Roman is in remission and tonight is about love, tonight is about celebrating,” he said.
“Speaking of celebrating, if I know Roman as well as I think I do, he’s probably got an ice cold beverage waiting for me. So, turn to burn it down, but in a different way.”
