Come at the king, you best not miss.
Conor McGregor enjoyed a busy weekend following a media conference call ahead of UFC 202.
Asked if he was interested in making an appearance in the WWE, the Irish fighter was blunt in his response.
“For the most part, those WWE guys are pussies, to be honest,” McGregor said.
Ouch.
Not one to mince words, The Notorious then doubled down on his criticism of WWE, calling Brock Lesnar juiced to his eyeballs. (To his credit, he also called the McMahons and The Rock “dons”.)
He capped it all off with this witty rejoinder on Sunday; just to make his feelings clear on WWE.
I didn't mean no disrespect to the @wwe fans. What I meant to say was that I'd slap the head off your entire roster. And twice on Sunday's.

But it appears Conor’s last barb was just one too many, and one by one WWE Superstars appear to remind McGregor that for all his big talk, going mic-for-mic with a WWE star is a little unwise…
Sorry pal no disrespect to u, but my fights are legit, unlike the fixed fights u have in @UFC. I’ll embarrass u. https://t.co/X5WCyeHYbf

AJ Styles took a slightly more subtle dig at UFC’s featherweight champion…
I think McGregor could do well in the featherweight division……if the WWE had one. https://t.co/90XGpSICS9

WWE legend and two-time Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle also offered up his two cents
very funny little guy. Why don't you get your head out of Dana White's ass

While Roman Reigns, at 6-foot-3 and 265 pounds (compared to McGregor at 5-foot-9 and 170 pounds), offered up this comparison.
Your the size of my leg. Shut up. https://t.co/fBVEdf8hE1

Big E Langston, one third of WWE stable The New Day was the kindest to McGregor with this backhanded compliment…
Would you prefer to find us individually or have us all line up at once? I know your time is valuable, sir. https://t.co/XPnKhWAlza

But the most scathing comment came from wrestling legend Ric Flair. The two time wrestling Hall of Famer’s got straight to the point, calling out McGregor for copying his high talking, braggadocio persona.
Coming from a guy who built a career copying my persona, I expected the type of class we get from Ronda or Anderson. pic.twitter.com/iVoC0Xva5g

Flair also argued that professional wrestlers like Dolph Ziggler and Brock Lesnar “could tie Conor in a knot.”
After Diaz finishes you again, I dare you to try guys like Dolph, Brock, or Fit.
Oh you're welcome for your gimmick pic.twitter.com/0qziVjlMav

If anyone doubts whether or not Doloh could tie Conor in a knot, do yourself a favor and Google his accomplishments pic.twitter.com/h7mitMeBXn

Just to compare: Here’s Vince McMahon’s walk.
And here’s Conor McGregor:
So maybe there’s just a little credence to that rumour.
McGregor takes on Diaz at the upcoming UFC 202, but after this back-and-forth, it’s hard to see how the Dublin man can avoid combat with at least one of the WWE’s Superstars.
Still, with UFC 202 airing the same weekend as WWE SummerSlam, it may just turn out to be a battle of the buy-rates…
