Ever since the final book in the series hit shelves in 2007, JK Rowling has been steadily revealing new information about the Harry Potter series every few months.
While fans often welcome the additional little tidbits about the gang’s post-war lives, this may upset some people.
It turns out pretty much everyone, including the cast of the films and even the most die-hard of Harry Potter fans, has been mispronouncing Lord Voldemort’s name.
@Universe_Box One piece of Harry Potter trivia I always forget to mention: the "t" is silent in Voldemort, according to @jk_rowling.

While Rowling created the character, it’s difficult to argue with her on this matter – but it does beg the question of why she allowed it to be pronounced wrong for eight films.
Unless it was all just a clever ploy by every single character to never really say the Dark Lord’s name.
