But American actor isn’t the same tanned up, floppy haired teenager that starred in Disney movies like High School Musical.
Oh no. The 28-year-old is an absolute animal now. He’s been in training with none other than The Rock for his role in the new Baywatch movie.
And he looks like he’s been going at it hard…

To be fair, he’s always been in pretty good nick. But Efron, who plays Matt Brody in the 2017 film, obviously had to get in the shape of his life if he was going to share a screen with Dwayne Johnson.
He was pictured tackling a Ninja Warrior course on set and he looked absolutely shredded.

Judging from his photos Efron has been hitting the functional fitness hard – with pull-ups, tyre flips and assault course-style training.
But as well as the new school training, it looks like he’s been smashing it old school as well with a traditional split like The Rock.

Efron’s training is obviously on point – but he’s absolutely nailed his nutrition too by the sounds of it.
We’re not sure if he just went zero carb to shred up for this photo shoot – or if that’s his regular nutrition play to stay lean year-round.
