‘Army of the Dead’ was only released on Friday
The American film director Zack Snyder has said that he already has an “insane” idea for a sequel to the Netflix film Army of the Dead, which was released earlier this week.
The high-budget zombie action film has scored 70% on rotten tomatoes.
Spoiler alert for the new film Army of the Dead…
The plot centres around a group of soldiers who plan to execute a casino heist in the midst of a zombie plague.
During the action film, a nuclear strike takes place to eradicate the zombie plague, however Vanderohe, who is played by Omari Hardwick, somehow survives the blast whilst trapped inside the bank vault.
Towards the end of the film, Vanderohe flees to Utah, and hires a private jet to fly him to Mexico City. However, he discovers during the flight that he has been bitten and subsequently infected with the zombie virus.
Speaking to Polygon, the director, Snyder, said that he would love to continue with the storyline in a sequel of the zombie film.
“Shay and I know exactly what happens next, and it’s insane,” he said.
Snyder explained: “I’d make it in a second. What we have planned is too crazy. Once we knew Vanderohe was bit, and he’s going to Mexico City, I was like, ‘You know what’s gonna happen?’ And then I just went on a tear.
“By the time it ended, Shay was like, ‘OK.'”
