Feeling sore isn’t always a sign of a workout
Most of us assume that there’s one way to tell that you’ve just completed a really good workout: feeling a little bit crap.
When you’ve just done a proper cardio workout you expect to be red in the face, out of breath, maybe even a little bit sick and feeling some aches in your muscles.
But do those physical sensations actually indicate a proper workout?
According to personal trainer Ben Carpenter, the progress you make from a workout is significantly more to do with the long term, rather than whether you’re sore immediately after.
When you do cardio and you're red in the face, feeling sick and throwing up, you might think you're being productive.
But that doesn't mean you had a good workout, according to personal trainer @bdccarpenter. pic.twitter.com/u2n5B9bwNM
