Suffering from exam stress? Time to sweat it out at the gym
Spring time means a couple of things. Not only are summer holidays just around the corner, but if you’re a teenager, you’ll undoubtedly be sitting exams too.
You’ve probably experienced how effective a workout is for fending off stress. Now one UK gym chain has endeavoured to help you out.
The Gym Group has announced a free six-week membership for 16-18-year olds, in order to help teenagers overcome exam stress this summer.
The offer runs from 28th May until 16th July, and will allow people aged 16-18 to receive six-weeks free at any of The Gym’s sites across the UK. Just make sure you sign up between the dates mentioned.
There are a few terms and conditions to bear in mind before you sign up.
The offer runs as a daytime membership. This means you can train for free between the hours of 9:30am and 16:00pm, seven days a week. You just have to prove you are 16-18 years old to apply for the offer.
‘Six weeks for free’ is reinforced by research which found that 77% of teens say exams and revision contribute to increased levels of anxiety and stress.
With 80 per cent of parents believing exercise is the best way for teenagers to relieve exam anxieties, taking advantage of this offer could help you smash both stress and your summer exams.
It’s worth noting that you can only redeem the offer between these dates in 2019. After taking advantage of the six free weeks, you’ll have to sign up for a monthly membership or a fixed term student membership.
