How does a NASA astronaut work out with no gravity?
Gravity is an incredibly important thing. Mainly, it keeps us from floating about while we’re walking around, grounding us to the earth. As such, it plays an important role in how we move our body, including working out.
Gravity is everything when it comes to exercising, all of our movements see us working against it, and using it, our body weight and any weights we are holding to return to our original state.
So when it comes to astronauts, who need to be in peak physical condition, a workaround without gravity is needed to be able to stay in shape while outside of the Earth’s gravitational pull.
This is how NASA astronauts work out while in zero gravity.
Living in space takes a brutal toll on your body, so astronauts have to maintain peak fitness.
But how do you work out in zero gravity? This is an inside look at NASA's spacecraft gym. 💪 🚀 pic.twitter.com/Fz54iVqGHW
