You could mistake him for Robert De Niro in the classic boxing film Raging Bull.
But it’s actually UFC commentator Joe Rogan back when he was 23 and fighting fit.
While you might think the 47-year-old has put on a few pounds these days, there’s no arguing that Rogan was an absolute machine back in the day.
This photo popped up on Reddit from his fighting days in the early 90s…

He might look like boxer Jake La Motta in the De Niro film thanks to his three-quarters Italian roots, but Rogan was a true mixed martial artist.

The commentator, who is also famous for his Joe Rogan Experience podcasts, was a taekwondo black belt by the age of 15 and was a four-time state champion.
Even here you can see he’s still got it with these devastating taekwondo kicks…
His Muay Thai kicks still don’t look half bad either…
Three years after the top photo was taken, Rogan took up Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Carlson Gracie, and he also has a black belt in Eddie Bravo’s 1oth Planet Jiu Jitsu.
Just in case he wasn’t hard enough, he has a judo blue belt and was a kickboxer, with an amateur 2-1 record.
It’s no wonder he was in that kind of shape in his prime.
You can actually unlock Joe Rogan as a playable character in the new UFC 2 game too…
