Londoners don’t drink as much as their northern counterparts, according to a new survey.
According to statistics obtained by The Sun, people who live in the capital are the biggest lightweights in the UK, drinking just six-and-a-half pints of beer a week – the lowest of all the cities in the study.
Glaswegians topped the chart with an impressive nine pints a week – the same amount as booze-loving Bristol.
Newcastle and Manchester just missed out on top spot with their average of eight-and-a-half pints each, while drinkers in Cardiff could only manage seven-and-a-half pints a week.
Birmingham and Norwich boasted slightly better records than London, with an average weekly intake of seven pints.
