Dolmio Day only comes once a week.
Mars Food, the company behind popular food products like Dolmio’s and Uncle Ben’s, will now have a warning on some of their products advising consumers to eat them no more than once a week.
The move is part of the Mars Food’s Health and Wellbeing Ambition initiative, and the aim is to “improve wellbeing through nutrition education, cooking facilities, and healthier food options”.

In a statement on its website, the company said that “to maintain the authentic nature of the recipe, some Mars Food products are higher in salt, added sugar or fat”, and as such are not meant to be consumed daily.
Alongside their “occasional” options, Mars Food will also categorise some of its products as okay for “everyday” consumption. It will also work to reduce salt, fat and sugar in their recipes over the next five years.
