He says he became a pescatarian in 2016
Rapper T.I. has revealed how he has been staying in shape beyond the age of 40.
T.I. celebrated his 40th birthday on September 25th, but he’s been a mainstay in the US rap scene way back into the 1990s.
The rapper is known for his high-octane stage performances, but admits turning 40 made him realise he needed to make adjustments to his training and diet. The goal is longevity, to ensure his health and performance don’t dwindle.
In an interview with Men’s Health, T.I. said:
“I’m turning 40 this year. Just because you’re over 40 don’t mean you gotta look like it.”

T.I. says he likes to work out between three and five days a week, mainly from his home gym. But it’s with his diet where the most substantial changes have been made.
Speaking specifically about nutrition, the 40-year-old says he’s almost entirely ditched meat.
“I stopped eating red meat, stopped eating chicken.
“Actually, I became pescatarian back in 2016. I try to keep it mainly fish, dover sole, salmon, branzino, red snapper.”
As you might have already guessed, pescatarians see fish or other seafood as the only animal protein they are willing to eat.
T.I. isn’t the only high-profile artist to chance their hand with veganism in an effort to boost their health. Miley Cyrus says she gave a plant-based diet a go, but turned her back on it for the sake of her health.
Speaking on the Joe Rogan Experience, Cyrus said:
“I was vegan for a very long time and I’ve had to introduce fish and omegas into my life because my brain wasn’t functioning properly.”
Joe Rogan then told Cyrus “not to tell that to the vegans”.
“That’s ok, they’re gonna come for me,” she replied.
