If you’re one of those people who’s constantly getting a cup of coffee in work then you might be harming your health a little bit.
The EU’s food safety watchdog has released new guidelines and they’ve advised people to not go over a daily caffeine limit of 400mg.
The average mug of instant coffee has around 100mg of caffeine in it so you should only be drinking four cups max. You drink about 13 don’t you?
The European Food Safety Authority say people also need to factor in if they have energy drinks or chocolate during the day.
The possible side-effects of having more than 400mg of caffeine in your system can range from anxiety and sleeplessness to heart problems.
Put down the cup of coffee!
