Start the week as you mean to go on.

Some people get up early to have it. Others wait until they get into work. And some don’t have any at all.

Breakfast is said to be the most important meal of the day and studies have shown that not having a bite to eat in the morning can be bad for you.

According to expert Dr Oz, the time at which you sit down for your first meal of the day is very important.

The health professional recommends that you should always have breakfast within an hour of waking up.

Chatting to Pop Sugar, Dr Oz said that lunch should come about four and a half hours after that and then, a couple of hours later, you should be tucking into your dinner.

While we don’t have anything more specific than ‘a couple of hours later’ when it comes to the third meal of the day, one thing’s for sure – you should leave at least three hours between eating dinner and going to bed.

That is said to help combat indigestion, while eating too late can have a worrying effect on blood pressure. Meanwhile, sticking to this sort of routine for all of your meals makes you less likely to eat junk food.
