The Game of Thrones star is getting seriously ripped for his boxing match against Eddie Hall
‘The Mountain’ Hafthor Bjornsson has revealed the diet and workout plan which has seen him shed around 50 kilograms in weight.
Bjornsson is in training for a grudge boxing match against fellow strongman icon Eddie Hall later this year, and has had to strip a serious amount of weight for the fight.
Over the last six months, Bjornsson has gone from a whopping 205 kilograms in weight (451 lbs) to a much leaner 155 kilograms (341 lbs).
The 32-year-old has recently revealed the exact diet and training routine responsible for fuelling such efforts.

How did The Mountain lose 50 kilograms in weight?
Strongman competitors are renowned for wolfing down a humungous amount of food each day. For example, the Stoltman brothers previously told JOE about the 9,000 calorie diets they maintain during competition season.
"I eat a measly 9 eggs and 100 grams of porridge – and that's just breakfast."

In order for Bjornsson to blast so much body fat, his diet therefore needed an overhaul – with the intensity of his workouts also requiring an upsurge.
In a video posted to his YouTube channel, Bjornsson documented a ‘day in the life’ on his current training and diet schedule.

Why is Hafthor Bjornsson fighting Eddie Hall in a boxing match?
The rivalry between Bjornsson and Hall goes all the way back to World’s Strongest Man 2017, when the Icelander accused Hall of cheating as he became the first Brit to lift the World’s Strongest Man title for more than 20 years.

The bad blood between the pair intensified last year when Bjornsson broke Hall’s 500kg world deadlift record – by a single kilo.
The Icelander promptly challenged Hall to a boxing match after the deadlift event.
Last year, The Mountain gave us a virtual tour of his incredible home gym.
145kg dumbbells, 230kg atlas stones and his own brand of barbell.
