Detox teas, or skinny teas, are everywhere online
If you follow any personal trainers, models or fitness influencers on Instagram – and let’s face it – each of us follows one of these at least, then you’ve probably seen weight loss products advertised there.
A miracle cure for weight gain, which will get you looking fit, toned and healthy in no time. The vast majority of these are targeted at young girls, many of whom may already have body image issues, and it’s those issues that advertisers look to prey on.
We spoke to Alice Liveing, a personal trainer and author, who feels that these teas, and other weight loss supplements which claim to offer a consequence-free quick fix, need to be taken off the shelves.
