With a rapidly growing YouTube channel dedicated to strength training, The Celtic Warrior has pumped iron with the best
Sheamus has hit a squat session with John Cena, blasted biceps with Cesaro and even tried yoga with former Women’s Champion Mickie James. But when asked who his dream workout partner would be, the Irishman’s answer was quite surprising.
Which Irish club did Roy Keane make his debut with? How many Eurovision titles have Ireland won?

Speaking to JOE, Sheamus said: “Vince McMahon, definitely.
“The guy’s a machine, mate. I’ve heard stories of him squatting nearly 700 pounds. I can’t do that – I don’t think I’ve ever been able to squat 700 pounds!”
If you deal in metric measurements, that’s around 317 kilograms. For those of us who deal in “What the hell does that look like?”, it’s:
- Seven 20 kg plates
- One 5 kg plate
- One 2.5 kg plate
- A 1.25 kg plate
…either side of a standard barbell.
In other words, it’s an insane lift by anyone’s standards.
If that wasn’t impressive enough, Sheamus says Mr McMahon is known to frequent the gym at 2am.
McMahon’s in-ring days may be long gone, as the man is 74 years old. But once lockdown is over, Sheamus wants to ensure he gets the WWE owner in the gym.
“He’s someone I would love to have as my 100th episode of Celtic Warrior Workouts.”
Sheamus has recently built an epic garage gym at his home in Nashville, Tennessee. He’s named it the Brave Change Gym, and the kit he has looks to rival most commercial gyms.

Looks like a quarantine dream, doesn’t it? How much for a one off session?
Sheamus also told JOE of his love for Liverpool FC – in particular, former striker John Aldridge.
“After meeting him in person, John Aldridge is definitely one of the nicest, most down-to-earth people you will ever meet. I remember being devastated when I heard (Ian) Rush was coming in and Aldridge was doing to Real Sociedad.”
