This looks good
Chocolate lovers are in dreamland after finding out that a much-loved bar has returned to UK shelves for the first time since the 1970s.
The ranges of chocolate bars in supermarkets and corner shops is ever changing. And whilst this does results in some bars being discontinued, it also means new bars arrive – or some old favourites even return.
That’s exactly what’s happened here, with the return of Nestlé’s strawberry-flavoured Aero.
Having first been launched in 1970s by Rowntree’s, who owned Aero at the time, the bar wasn’t around for long, according to the Sun.
But earlier this year, it was announced that the bar would be returning to shelves, exclusively in Spar stores.
This has since been widened to other stores, meaning even more chocoholics can get their hands on the bar of strawberry bubbles.
A spokesperson for Nestlé said: “The bar brings together a smooth milk chocolate shell with a melt-in-the-mouth bubbly strawberry flavour centre.”
The bar’s return sparked delight on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains Facebook group, where one person wrote: “Had this in the 70s, glad it’s back!”
Another commented: “They were my fave as a kid… stock up cos they will disappear again soon!”
A third added: “Too moreish ate it in one sitting.”
The 90g sharing bar retails at £1.35.
Earlier this year, some chocolate fans were left devastated by the news that orange Yorkies would be leaving shelves for good, so hopefully this softens the blow for them.
