Necessity is the mother of invention
With all of our favourite restaurants closed at the moment, home cooking and the occasional takeaway are the only options. But you can’t get takeaways every day – they’re too expensive and, for the most part, not that good for you.
What you can try and do though is recreate some of your favourite dishes at home. We’ve already shown you how you can make your very own Big Mac at home, and now we move on to that most cherished of bakeries – Greggs.
Greggs is an institution here in the United Kingdom, with their Sausage Roll, Steak Bake and Sausage, Bean and Cheese Melt up there in the pantheon of, well, really good pastries.
With that in mind we picked up the requisite ingredients during one of our weekly trips to the shop and tried to make a Greggs Sausage, Bean and Cheese Melt from scratch. Is it up to the mark? See for yourself.
Hungry for Greggs? We've got you covered.
