Bigger is better. Especially when it comes to sausage rolls.
Clearly this is an ethos that Morrisons subscribes to, as the supermarket launched a new product today: a foot-long sausage roll.
The mammoth snack (does it still count as a snack if it’s as long as your forearm?) goes on sale from today, and here’s the thing: it only costs £1.
Yes. That is a foot long sausage roll!Today is going to be a good day. #yessausageroll #chorlton. Thank you @Morrisons pic.twitter.com/c61l8KqMcr

£1! One English pound. That’s the same as… well, what can you buy for a quid these days? Sod all. But that’s where the foot-long sausage roll comes in.
Sadly, it won’t last forever – the price will rise to £1.43 from August 14, but even that’s still cheap for 12 inches of pork. What? What are you laughing at?
Get a load of how long these buggers are – need we remind you that there’s an entire foot of sausage roll there?

“We sell one million freshly baked sausage rolls-a-week but customers have asked for one that is even bigger,” Morrisons’ pie and pastry expert Philippa Shaw said.
“So we created this foot-long version. With the start of the football season approaching, we’re hoping our foot long sausage roll will be making its way to the top of the snack league table!”
It’s almost too good to be true, but trust us: this is very real and (probably) very delicious.
