‘Anyone else or am I a wrongen?’
A woman has gone viral and made the entire internet feel sick at the same time, by scoffing raw salmon on the bus.
According to HealthLine, raw salmon can harbour bacteria, parasites, and other pathogens. The Food and Drug Administration also lists it as a known source of parasites, which are organisms that live on or in other organisms —including humans. Helminths are worm-like parasites similar to tapeworms or roundworms and are common in finfish like salmon and can live in your small intestine where they can grow to more than 39 feet (12 meters) long.
But that didn’t stop Aggie Day from chowing down on a slice to pass the time on the bus.
In a TikTok video that’s clocked up almost 2 million views, Aggie is seen tearing open a packet of salmon then biting into it like a bear.
In the video, Aggie asks viewers, “anyone else or am I a wrongen?”
Judging by the comments on the post, it seem like it is just Aggie, with one writing: “My jaw literally dropped and stayed like it the entire time.”
Most people suggested she get some worm tablets ASAP.
One person branded the commuting snack “minging”, as a second advised her to “make sure you worm yourself frequently” and a third dubbed her “Salmon Ella”.
Another joked Aggie would be “eating chicken breast raw tune in next week”.
Aggie told The Independent she’d “posted it as a laugh” and while she’d eaten raw salmon before, it wasn’t one of her regular go-to snacks.
She also reassured people she was aware that eating raw salmon right out of the packet was unhealthy. However, it seems the chance to go viral was worth the risk.
