Total first slushie refreshment
It is hot. Do you know what is good when it is hot? Slushies. Slushies are good when it is hot. Slushies, in fact, might be the best thing when it is hot. The very best thing. They are icy and they are cold and above all else, they are slush. They cool our throats and give us mild brain-freeze. They taste really, really good.
It’s even better then that a pub is now offering Strongbow Dark Fruit pints in slushie form, because what better way to get slowly drunk and turn pink in the sun than with a trusty alcoholic slushie by your side?
The game-changer has been created by the good people at the Blackhorse pub in Chester-Le-Street, Durham, and look as though they would slide down a treat in this weather.
They cost £6 or two for a tenner, so the obvious conclusion there is to buy four every time you go to the bar. Even if Dark Fruits isn’t your thing, the pub also do a blue WKD and an Irn-Bru version.
The cocktails are only available during the summer months and were added back to the menu last week. Why can’t the sun and the slushies just stick around? Why can’t this giddy, giddy slushie joy just last forever?
