Ice pops you’ll need ID to buy
In a turn of events that can only be described as “perfect for this weather” Tesco has decided to begin selling ice pops that contain alcohol.
Pimm’s POPs require you to have ID at the checkout and have an alcohol by volume (ABV) of 4.3%, which makes them stronger than a lot of lagers.
As you can probably tell from the name, Pimm’s POPs are Pimms and lemonade flavoured and what’s more, they are only 32 calories each. A complete bargain.
Sadly, they are a little pricier than the 5p a pop ones you get from your local newsagents, setting you back £2.50 for two 80ml lollies.
A Tesco spokesperson told The Mirror: “These refreshing ice lollies are a guilt-free treat and represent a glass of Pimm’s in frozen form but with just 32 calories.”
The release of the Pimms flavoured lollies comes in the wake of Aldi releasing its own Gianni’s Alcoholic Ice Popsicles for £1.99 – with flavours such as Gin and Tonic and Bucks Fizz.
