He will have to raise the funds for surgery
A man in Africa cut off his own genitals while sleeping after dreaming that he was chopping meat.
Kofi Atta, a farmer from Assin Fosu, Ghana, woke up on August 12 to stabbing and shooting pains in his nether regions but upon looking down, he discovered that he’d cut off his own manhood while sleeping.
“I dey sit inside chair wey I doze off, so as I dey sleep I dream say I dey cut meat wey dey in front of me,” he told BBC Pidgin shortly after.
The 47-year-old was taken to hospital, and luckily, his injuries were not life-threatening.
“Right now I dey hospital for here, all dem dey give me be fluids den some injections but I dey need surgery,” he explained. “I no get money to fuel ambulance wey go carry me go Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) for surgery.”
Atta is still confused over the situation as he does not know how the knife made it into his hands. He told the BBC that he’d even shouted for help while dreaming.
“I no remember how I carry de knife, even me I dey confused,” he added.
According to GHOne TV, Atta’s wife, Adwoa Konadu, received a “distressed call from a neighbour, explaining that her husband was ‘bleeding profusely as he has cut off his manhood with a sharp knife.”
Upon returning home, she found him “sitting on a chamber pot full of blood, with his penis in his hand.”
