Single man almost masturbates himself to death

Danny Jones

As if ‘it’ll make you go blind’ wasn’t a big enough deterrent

A 51-year-old man nearly masturbated himself to death after suffering a stroke following ejaculation. Thankfully, the poor bloke (who will remain anonymous) survived the cerebrovascular incident.

According to a medical report published by the Journal of Stroke and Cerebrovascular Diseases earlier this year, the Japanese usually pleasured himself multiple times a day but, on this occasion, the man was said to have suffered intense headaches immediately after the masturbation session gone wrong, followed by bouts of vomiting later on.

Luckily, he was able to check himself in at Nagoya City University Hospital and received the necessary treatment.

After doctors carried out a CT scan of his brain, the results confirmed that the man had suffered a subarachnoid haemorrhage at the point of climax: a type of stroke, usually caused by a burst blood vessel, in which bleeding occurs in the fluid-filled spaces of the brain and usually during significant physical effort.

It’s the kind of story that may be a rough one to explain in the pub, but the most important thing is that he survived and was discharged from the hospital within two weeks, with the doctors stating that he left in excellent condition.

While it is unknown exactly why brain aneurysms develop, if you push yourself too hard physically – i.e. through intense exercise, sex or even while masturbating, apparently – the chances of a stroke increase.

As far as we know, the incident left the man with no prolonged damage (other than maybe a few bruises to his pride) and it certainly serves as a lesson to take it easy when you left to your own devices.
