Two tickets to the UEFA Champions League Final plus accommodation with Hotels.com

Terms and Conditions

1. The promoter of this Prize Draw is JOE Media (“JOE Media”).
2. To enter the competition on Twitter or Instagram entrants need to tag a mate who deserves to go to the event.
3. The competition opens at 9am on 26th April 2019 and closes at 12pm on 2nd May 2019 (GMT).
4. 1 winner will be chosen.
5. The prize to be won is: One pair of tickets (2 tickets in total available to a winner) for the UEFA Champions League Final in Madrid on 1 June 2019, and a 2 night stay between 31 May 2019 and 2 June 2019 for 2 people for the winner in a 3-star hotel in Madrid which has been booked by Hotels.com (breakfast included and covers local taxes). Exact details of the hotel and hotel room will be provided to the winner in advance of the game.  On 1 June 2019, the winner and their companion will be transported to the stadium in which the UEFA Champions League final is being hosted courtesy of Hotels.com. After the game, the winner and their companion will be collected from the stadium and transported back to their hotel courtesy of Hotels.com. Exact details of the transport will be provided to the winner in advance of the game. The winner can collect their tickets to the game at a designated collection point that will be notified to the winner in advance of the game. Note that the prize only includes 2 tickets to the UEFA Champions League final, hotel accommodation and transfers to and from the hotel and the game. The winner is responsible for paying all associated costs that are not specifically stated in these Terms and Conditions, including (where applicable): transport to and from airports, meal costs, spending money, insurance, any additional hotel charges (such as use of the minibar in the room) and all other incidentals. The winner and their companion are responsible for obtaining valid passports and visas and where appropriate, obtaining appropriate vaccinations and inoculations for foreign travel. The winner is also personally responsible for any personal or incidental expenses and any VAT, national and/or local tax liabilities incurred in claiming or using the prize. If the winner’s companion is a minor, the minor must be accompanied by his or her parent or legal guardian (at their own expense) if they are not the winner.
6. Use of the prize and attendance at the UEFA Champions League final are subject to the ticketing terms and conditions of UEFA, which can be found at https://protect-eu.mimecast.com/s/UtEgCBgK7sAKAr3fzLSl9.” Add in a new clause 6 as follows: “The provision of the prize (or any elements of the prize) does not imply endorsement by Hotels.com of UEFA, the hotel operator or any other third parties concerned in any way with the Prize Draw.  Any complaints or queries relating to the use of the prize should be directed to the relevant third party provider and will be subject to the applicable terms and conditions of that provider, being UEFA in respect of the tickets to the UEFA Champions League final, the hotel operator in respect of the hotel room, and/or any other relevant provider.
7. Entrants must be 18 years or over.
8. No purchase is necessary.
9. Only one entry is permitted per household via online route of entry, and no bulk or third-party entries are permitted.
10. Winner(s) will be selected by an independent adjudicator who will select winners at random.
11. The winners will be notified by JOE Media through a Twitter/Instagram direct message after the competition closes. JOE Media will ask for the winner’s first and last name, confirmation of age, telephone number and email address.
12. By entering this competition, you are giving JOE Media consent to contact you (for the purpose of the competition).
13. JOE Media will contact the winner with a deadline for responding with information. If the original winner cannot be contacted within 1 hour from the first correspondence, JOE Media will reallocate their prize to an alternative winner selected at the same time and by the same means as the original.
14. The winner must be available on the date of the game (1st June 2019).
15. If a winner is unable to accept the prize, the Promoter reserves the right to award the prize to an alternative winner, drawn in accordance with these terms and conditions.
16. Prizes cannot be exchanged or refunded and there is no cash alternative. The prize is non-transferrable.
17. The entrants need to be a UK resident.
18. The competition is open to all UK residents except JOE Media employees, the companies or organisations with whom the competition or offer is being run, their agents, or anyone directly connected with the promotion.
19. The winner must have submitted their entry themselves.
20. JOE Media and any associated promoters, bear no responsibility for any entry which is incorrectly submitted, lost, damaged, incomplete or received after the closing time.
21. Winners are responsible for their own travel costs (if applicable) for attending.
22. We reserve the right to disqualify or not award a prize to an entrant whose entry we believe be inappropriate, fraudulent or based on misconduct.
23. Names and cities of residence of the prize winner will be available on request.
24. The winner must not be subject to a banning order or banned from any sports events.
25. All entrants to competitions are deemed to have accepted these rules and agree to be bound by them.
26. This competition is run through JOE Media only and it is not sponsored by any social media platforms.
27. These terms and conditions are governed by English law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
28. *JOE, Hotels.com or any other third-party, will not use any personal data for from any entrant in the competition for marketing purposes.
29. JOE Media will collect and process participants’ personal information in order to conduct the Prize Draw and such information will be shared with Hotels.com and its agents to the extent necessary for the prize to be delivered to the winner.  If participants do not provide any of the mandatory information requested when entering and taking part in the Prize Draw, they may not take part in the Prize Draw.  Participants’ names and other personal details from their entry to the Prize Draw will be collected and stored by JOE Media and Hotels.com and held in accordance with the applicable privacy policy of each party in place from time to time (see https://www.joe.co.uk/privacy-statement; and https://uk.hotels.com/hotel-deals/privacy/)
