Bloc Party fans rejoice! A new version of Silent Alarm is on the way
The live version of the band’s seminal debut album will be recorded during their forthcoming European tour where, for the first time, they will play it in its entirety from start to finish.
Silent Alarm was released in 2005 to widespread critical acclaim and remains one of the best things to come out of the UK’s 2000s indie scene.
Aside from the news that the band (consisting of Kele Okereke on vocals/guitar, Russell Lissack on guitar, Justin Harris on bass and Louise Bartle on drums) will be releasing a live version of Silent Alarm, Bloc Party also announced that before they embark on their upcoming tour they will play a very special, intimate, one-off warm up show at the Brudenell Social Club, Leeds, on October 13th 2018.

The tour will see the band play a handful of special shows across six European capital cities, commencing in Amsterdam on October 15th and taking in Paris, Berlin, Brussels and Dublin, before culminating with a sold out night at London’s Alexandra Palace on October 24th. Support comes from Middle Kids.
The band will then take the tour to Australia and New Zealand for a run of dates in November; Haiku Hands will support on the Australian dates.
