It may be two years off yet but tickets go on sale for the tour next week
Elton John has today announced the first UK dates for his upcoming Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour.
Kicking off in November 2020, the first two dates of the legendary singer/songwriter’s last-ever tour, and the end of half a century on the road, see him headline The O2, London (November 6th and 7th).
Other dates include: Birmingham (Arena, 9th and Resorts World Arena, Nov 11th), Liverpool (Echo Arena Nov 13th and 14th), Manchester (Arena Nov 17th and 28th), Aberdeen (TECA Nov 20th and 21st), Glasgow (The SSE Hydro Nov 24th and 25th), Belfast (The SSE Arena Nov 30th) and Leeds (First Direct Arena 7th Dec).
Speaking of the UK dates, Elton John said:
“The Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour will take us to many places that have meant a lot to me over the last 50 years, but these UK shows will be incredibly special. The UK is home, and where my heart will always be. To celebrate some of the incredible moments we’ve shared with my British fans over the years will be wonderful. These homecoming shows will be very emotional, and a lot of fun.”
Elton John’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour kicked off this past September in the U.S. and has already been greeted with a wealth of praise from critics and fans alike. The three-year tour will consist of more than 300 shows across five continents, hitting North America, Europe, Asia, South America and Australasia before reaching its conclusion in 2021.
Tickets for Elton John’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road UK shows go on sale Friday November 16th at 10am.
