It was during a set at his Las Vegas residency at The Colisseum.
Elton John has, I regret to inform you, told his own fans to “Fuck off” after they were invited to the stage during a concert in Los Angeles. The artist was midway through ‘Saturday Night’s Alright’ when fans joined him at his piano, but things took a turn for the worse when they began to touch the singer.
Elton didn’t take too kindly to it, repeatedly warning some of the audience to back off and could even be seen screaming “Fuck off!” at one concertgoer in particular.
Eventually, it all became a bit too much for the ‘Rocket Man’ who stormed off the stage whilst his band continued to play, only returning once the area had been cleared of his fans.
When he took to the mic again he told the bemused audience “No more coming on stage during Saturday Night. You’ve fucked it up!”
He then proceeded to burst into ‘A Circle of Life’. A true professional.
