Kanye West has had a busy night.

First he dropped off peculiar new song “Lift Yourself” and now the rapper/producer has gone all political on a track titled “Ye vs. the People”.

Featuring T.I., the new song was released just hours after his “poop” record. Well, we say released, it wasn’t officially made available anywhere at first but it was played on a loop on the L.A. radio station Power 106 FM in the early hours of this morning. It has since been released via Spotify and Apple Music.

Playing out like a political debate between Kanye and T.I., “Ye vs. the People” touches on police brutality, President Trump, Obama, and even the Get Outsunken place” reference being used to describe Kanye’s mental state at present.

You can listen to “Ye vs. the People” below:

“Lift Yourself” and “Ye vs. the People” are Kanye’s first new songs since 2016’s The Life of Pablo.

As far as T.I.’s involvement, he recently shared on his Instagram story that he and Kanye had spent the day together. He said of his friend: “I refuse to just give up on him.”

Kanye West’s new solo album will arrive June 1st, which will then be followed by a collaborative project with KiD CuDi titled Kids See Ghost. It is also reported that he will be producing projects for Nas, Teyana Taylor and Pusha T.
